Remember that Amazing Indie box I got from Llarowe.com? It was the June 2015 Indie Box (which was on sale) and was Nautical themed. All the polishes that are featured in the indie boxes are only available IN the boxes, so thats a bonus to purchasing the monthly set.
Ships Ahoy! By Different Dimensions
This is a gorgeous blue linear holographic with glass flecks mixed in. It really Sparkles! I used two coats and a top coat in the above photo. The polish was smooth and went on very easy.
Next up is Pirate Booty by Girly Bits.
This is a full coverage glitter with various sizes of gold holographic hex glitters. Oooooo golden yummalicious! I used three coats in the above photo, just to show you what the brush on look would be. In the future I would use the sponge on method to get the full on all over gold coverage. This polish would also look fabulous coated lightly over a dark polish (imho).
Lost on Abalone Shores by Hare Polish
This polish is a smoky, slightly sandy grey jelly with green/blue shifty flakes of two types, blue flakes, pink/purple iridescent micro flakes and a subtle holographic shimmer. This polish is amaaaaazing! I love the colors and how it sparkles in the sun. It was a nice smooth polish. I used two coats and a top coat in the photo. (PS I love gray right now so this polish is right up my alley!)
Stormy Seas by Colors by Llarowe
This is definitely a sea blue polish that contains purple iridescent micro flakes, turquoise iridescent flakes and magenta shimmer in a royal blue base. The more layers, the darker the color gets, just like a stormy sea! (wink) I used 2 coats with shiny top coat. I loved the way this creamy polish glided onto my nails 🙂
And last but certainly NOT least..
Whale Hello There! By Serum No. 5
This polish. Sigh. First off the name is adorable and OH THIS polish! I loved it. The polish is a blue grey crelly base with blue and red glitters, yellowish and blue hex mixed in AND it glows!
It glows this beautiful aqua color in the dark. (and you can still see the glitter flecks- I heart this!)
I’m a super fan of novelty polishes, I dunno why, but added to a grey polish which also happens to be my favorite at the moment and I am SOLD! This was hands down my favorite polish of the box. I will most definitely use very single polish, but I have a feeling I will reach for this one the most!
Finding the right polishes is always a journey itself, but learning to apply, cleanup AND shoot a good photo of a polish, well that’s an adventure! I am so excited to be Dabbling in polishes. Stay tuned for more swatches and other nails art experiences!
Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Dabbling!
